Quiz Night 2025

The highly anticipated annual Ecchinswell Village Hall quiz took place on Saturday, 22nd November 2025. This year saw an impressive attendance pretty much to maximum capacity, with 16 enthusiastic teams competing for the coveted title of annual Village Hall Quiz Champions. The event was marked by a spirit of camaraderie, friendly rivalry, and a shared love of trivia.

As usual, this was a closely fought competition and the scores remained close throughout the evening. After a tense final round, the overall victory went to Ornitho-logical who emerged as this year’s champions. Congratulations to the winning team and well done to all participants for making the contest so exciting.

• Quiz Masters: A heartfelt thank you goes to Ian and Angie whose efforts in organising the questions and expertly facilitating the evening ensured the quiz ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all.

• The Entertainments Committee deserve a special mention for their tireless work behind the scenes, setting up the venue and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone and of course arranging a splendid banquet of nibbles that kept everyone fuelled and happy throughout the night.

 

New eTicket System

This quiz night marked the debut of our new eTicket system. Despite a couple of minor blips during the trial, the system proved to be extremely successful.  Based on this success, we are pleased to announce that eTickets will be used for all future Village Hall events, making participation even more convenient for everyone.
